Compassionate Care for Life's Most Difficult Transitions

Melissa Morrissette, LCSW, End-of-Life Doula

ABOUT ME
MY MISSION

Hi, I'm Melissa. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing online therapy in the Greater New Orleans area. I specialize in caregiver support, grief, and associated issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and burnout. You may be grieving the loss of a loved one, a pet, a relationship, a job or career, someone struggling with addiction, or experiencing a long goodbye. Grief comes in many forms and all of them are deeply real and profoundly felt regardless of what society tells us.

My path has been shaped by both education and lived compassion. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of New Orleans and my Master of Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans. I received my end-of-life doula training through the International End-of-Life Doula Association, and I’m also a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner in Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki.

Along the way, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the emotional, psychological, and spiritual layers of illness, death, and grief — and for the care it takes to support people through them with presence and respect.

Whether you are seeking therapy or end-of-life services, I am here to create space for honest conversations, meaningful connection, and care that honors your unique values, wishes, and journey.
